Education
Bachelor of Communication Studies and Minor in English at Southwestern University 2013, Graduated Cum Laude
Experience
I enjoy the learning process and would like to be of assistance to any and all that may find my particular skill set useful. Communication Studies is a multidisciplinary humanities major critically engaging with, but not limited to, media studies, political science, marketing/advertising, philosophy, feminist, queer and lgbqt theories, cultural studies, identity studies, visual communication, performance studies, ethnographic and historical studies and race theory. A paper I wrote won the 2012 - 2013 Shearn Writing Prize for the Humanities contest and that same year I was awarded Southwestern University's Laura J. Kuykendall Communication Studies Student of the Year. I made the Dean's list four out of the five semesters I was at Southwestern.

Hobbies
I am primarily interested in literary fiction as a career trajectory, writing it that is, and I read voraciously. Some of the stuff I've been reading lately includes "The Savage Detectives" by Roberto Bolano and "Widow Basquiat" by Jennifer Clement. I am also a cultural journalist who does freelance work for Kirkus Reviews (author feature pieces) and the Austin American Statesman (book reviews). I skateboard, play basketball (big Rockets fan) and am passionate about exercise. I am also into food and food studies.
